A Proven Voice for the South Valley

We have a responsibility to fight for the community we call home. This is how.

Addressing Homelessness

Homelessness is a serious challenge, and it's one I see up close through my work in real estate and local government. I understand how housing markets work and where policy can help, or make things worse.

As a conservative, I don't believe in open-ended government programs or spending without results.

Our focus should be on treatment, accountability, and helping people move toward stability, with the county working alongside community partners, cities, and the state. We also have a responsibility to keep our neighborhoods and public spaces clean, safe, and accessible while real solutions are put in place.

I will:

  • Support coordinated approaches that emphasize treatment, accountability, and pathways to stability
  • Work with community, city, and state partners to ensure shared responsibility and clear expectations
  • Balance compassion with public safety, cleanliness, and accessibility of shared spaces

Cutting Red Tape & Preserving Neighborhood Character

How we handle housing today really affects what our communities look like down the road. With costs going up, we need to be careful about how we grow so people can still afford to live here.

The county's role is to work with cities to remove red tape, while preserving neighborhood character. That means fighting state or federal mandates and pushing back on development that doesn't make sense. As your representative on the County Council,

Fight Statewide Mandates. Preserve Neighborhood Character. Empower the Free Market.

I will:

  • Support housing options that meet community needs, while respecting local zoning and neighborhood character
  • Encourage responsible development that addresses affordability, not just high-end growth
  • Promote fair, predictable housing policies that protect both renters and property owners
  • Fight for fair funding in the south end of the valley to ensure our growth doesn't outmatch our infrastructure.

Backing Public Safety

Public safety is the top quality of life concern—whether kids can play outside, families feel safe in their neighborhoods, or first responders can do their jobs effectively. That means supporting well-trained and well-funded law enforcement and making sure emergency services are ready when they're needed.

It also means working with communities to prevent crime where we can and taking care of our public spaces. Clean, well-maintained parks and streets aren't just nice to have—they're part of what makes a community feel safe.

I will:

  • Support funding and effective training for our Sheriff's office and hold them accountable
  • Back community efforts to keep neighborhoods safe and consistent with their character
  • Ensure parks, streets, and public spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained

Conserving for the Future

Taking care of our natural resources is really about being good stewards of the place we live. We want clean air, reliable water, and open spaces that our kids and grandkids can enjoy.

That means focusing on efforts that actually work, without overregulation or one-size-fits-all policies. As our region continues to grow, we need to plan for long-term water availability and protect the trails, open spaces, and community assets that make this a great place to live.

I will:

  • Support practical efforts that protect natural resources without overregulation
  • Plan carefully for long-term water availability as the region continues to grow
  • Preserve open spaces, trails, and community assets that enhance quality of life

Prioritizing Transportation & Infrastructure

Infrastructure is about the basics that affect everyday life: roads that are in good shape, traffic that flows, and sidewalks that are safe and usable. As our community grows, those basics matter even more for families, seniors, and local businesses.

The county's job is to plan ahead, invest wisely, and coordinate with regional partners so congestion is reduced and infrastructure keeps pace with growth. That means keeping roads functional for drivers while also supporting safe, efficient transportation options for everyone who relies on them. It also means that the south end of the valley should receive real attention—not just Salt Lake City.

I will:

  • Prioritize well-maintained roads and sidewalks that support daily life and economic activity
  • Plan infrastructure investments carefully to serve families, seniors, and growing communities
  • Reduce congestion through strategic planning and regional coordination
  • Support safe, efficient transportation options while keeping roads functional for drivers

Pushing Back on Big Government & High Taxes

People work hard for what they earn, and the county government has a responsibility to spend wisely and live within its means.

Fiscal responsibility means focusing on core services, avoiding unnecessary expansion, and regularly reviewing programs to make sure they're actually delivering value.

The goal is simple: responsible budgeting, transparency, and a county government that earns the trust of the people who pay the bills.

I will:

  • Treat taxpayer dollars with care and accountability
  • Focus county spending on core responsibilities, not government growth
  • Look for smarter, more efficient ways to deliver services without raising taxes
  • Regularly review programs to eliminate waste, duplication, and inefficiency

Economic Development & Supporting Small Businesses

Small businesses are the backbone of our communities, and county government should be a partner, not an obstacle, to their success. That starts with clear policies that don't create unnecessary red tape or burdens for local employers.

Economic growth should be thoughtful and local, focused on creating good-paying jobs and strengthening the communities where people live and work. And just as importantly, we need to keep our business districts safe, clean, and welcoming for both residents and visitors.

I will:

  • Ensure county policies are clear, predictable, and do not place unnecessary burdens on businesses
  • Encourage economic growth that creates good-paying jobs and strengthens local communities
  • Keep business districts strong, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors
